Not only have we been accepted as a reputable breeder with good dog. We have also been accepted by AKC and are recognized as a responsible breeder in their BRED with HEART program.

Promising that they will pursue AKC provided or AKC approved continuing breeder education so that they stay current on the best breeding practices, including advances in canine health.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Agreeing to comply with the AKC Care and Conditions Policy, including inspections by the AKC, and promising to share with AKC health testing and continuing education documentation.
RESPONSIBILITY
Accepting responsibility for the health and well-being of the puppies they produce and for complying with all laws regarding the ownership and maintenance of dogs.

Our Story: As a passionate breeder specializing in Labradors, we started Luvable AZ Labs out of our deep love for these amazing dogs. We wanted to share the joy and love that Labradors bring into our lives. Health is our top priority, which is why all of our parent dogs are tested and cleared of genetic diseases. We are dedicated to ensuring that every Labrador from our program is healthy and disease-free. We continue to breed these amazing dogs to improve the breed, producing nothing but healthy Labradors.

What sets us apart
Each puppy comes with a health guarantee and will be released with limited registration rights. Full registration (breeding rights) may be released if approved. We understand how important it is when choosing the perfect addition to your family. That's why we invite you and your family to our home to meet our puppies. This helps you make the perfect connection and ensures that you find the right fit for your family. When it is time for you to take your puppy home, you will receive a "doggy bag" filled with goodies to get you started, in addition to all of your AKC paperwork, vet records, and the litter certificate.
Health Assurance: What can we guarantee your puppy will not have, you may be asking? All parents in our program have been tested and cleared of 350+ genetic health risks, including the genetic risk factors most relevant to the Labrador breed. Below are some of the major risks they are clear of. Full test results are available for you to see during your visit.
PRCD - Progressive Rod - Cone Degeneration. It’s an inherited form of late - onset of progressive retinal atrophy (PRA)
EIC - Exercise Induced Collapse. Is characterized by muscle weakness, lack of coordination, and life-threatening collapse after intense exercise.
CNM - Centronuclear Myopathy is a muscle disorder that can be inherited if either parent is a carrier.
DM - Canine Degenerative Myelopathy, aka chronic degenerative radiculomyelopathy, is an incurable, progressive disease of the canine spinal cord.
HPNK - Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis. It’s a genetic defect caused by a mutation in a gene that regulates differentiation of nose cells. Resulting in the formation of a crust with cracks over the nasal area of a young dog.
HUU - Hyperuricosuria means elevated levels of Uric acid in the urine. Causing dogs to form stones in their bladders or kidneys.
MCD - Macular Corneal Dystrophy. This condition causes abnormal corneal accumulation of complex carbohydrates called glycosaminoglycans. Which is a rare disease, both parents must be carriers to pass it to their puppies.
Narcolepsy - A disorder of the nervous system. Involving collapse and loss of movement.
PKD - Polycystic Kidney Disease. Is a hereditary kidney disease.
DD - Dilute (D Locus). A mutation in the gene is the cause of color dilution. A dog with a DD result will have all their black or brown pigment lightened (“diluted”) to gray or light brown and may lighten red pigment to cream.
ACVO - American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists
Our Facilities
Our Luvable AZ Labs home is designed to provide the best possible environment. We have a cozy setting for our Labs. When not inside taking naps or enjoying the AC to avoid the Arizona heat, they are outside running in the yard or swimming in the pool.
Our kennel offers both American and English Labrador Retriever puppies in Chocolate, Yellow, and Black.
Genetic Health & Disease Testing
Luvable AZ Labs has devoted resources to guarantee a prosperous and healthy breeding program. We are committed to the overall health and reduced risk of disease for our Labs. Each parent has undergone DNA genetic testing to meet OFA C.H.I.C. requirements as well as AKC BRED with H.E.A.R.T. These programs recognize breeders for meeting the parent club standard health requirements, The Labrador Club. Each Labrador in our program has been cleared to not be affected by PRCD, EIC, CNM, DM, HNPK, HUU, MCD, NARCOLEPSY, PKD, and DD. Additionally, all Labradors have completed their ACVO eye examination. Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
This technique is quite fascinating—by introducing puppies to gentle stressors, such as slight temperature changes or mild tactile stimulation, we can positively impact their neurological development, stress tolerance, and overall adaptability.
Research has shown that these brief, controlled experiences can lead to stronger immune systems, improved cardiovascular performance, and enhanced problem-solving skills as the puppies mature. It’s a wonderful approach to give our furry friends a head start in life!
The early days and weeks are crucial for a puppy's development, and ENS can have lasting benefits. Here’s a quick recap of the steps involved:
- Remove from Litter: Separate the puppy briefly from its litter.
- Cool Temperature Exposure: Expose the puppy to a cool environment for a short time.
- Different Positions: Hold the puppy in various positions.
- Gentle Touching: Touch different parts of the puppy's body gently.
- Tickling Toes: Lightly tickle in between the puppy's toes.
It's usually a once-a-day routine for just a few seconds, starting from birth and continuing until the puppy is around 7 weeks old and ready for their forever family!
